Nicolas Paul Stéphane Sarközy de Nagy-Bocsa ( ; ; born 28 January 1955) is a French politician who served as President of France from 2007 to 2012. In 2021, he was found guilty of having tried to bribe a judge in 2014 to obtain information and spending beyond legal campaign funding limits during his 2012 re-election campaign. Born in Paris, his roots are 1/2 Hungarian Protestant, 1/4 Greek Jewish, and 1/4 French Catholic. Hervé Gaymard
Hervé Gaymard (born 31 May 1960) is a French politician and a member of The Republicans conservative party. He served as the country's Minister of Finance from 30 November 2004 until his resignation on 25 February 2005. Gaymard attended Sciences Po and then at the École nationale d'administration, graduating from the latter in 1986. After that he worked as a civil servant in a number of finance-related positions. He was elected as a local councillor in the Savoie commune of Moûtiers in 1994. He later served on the departmental council of Savoie, and in 1999, became its president. Achille Peretti (13 June 1911 – 14 April 1983) was a French politician. Peretti was born in Ajaccio. A lawyer by profession, he was a member of the French resistance, and was in charge of the security of Charles de Gaulle's government in Algiers. After the war, Peretti pursued a business career. A member of the French parliament from 1958 to 1977, he became chairman of the National Assembly in 1969 when Jacques Chaban-Delmas was nominated as prime minister.
